2024 FIRST Lego League Robotics Tournament

On Saturday, November 2, the FIRST Lego League Camarillo Qualifying Tournament was held at the Ventura County Office of Education conference center. About 180 middle school students from 22 teams competed to go on to a regional tournament. FIRST inspires young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators.

Teams of students in FIRST Lego League Challenge engage in research, problem-solving, coding and engineering – building and programming a Lego robot that navigates the missions of a robot game. Teams also participate in a research project to identify and solve a relevant real-world problem.

IEEE Buenaventura Section supported this event both financially and in providing volunteers. Thank you to the Ventura County Office of Education for letting us use their wonderful facility.
